Accordion Noir radio playlist 2011-12-28: Klezmer Noir (part 1/3)

Ten years ago, Bruce was feeling a bit contrarian.  (Er… a bit more contrarian.)  For Christmas, he decided to turn the entire establishment on its head and instead celebrate that most Ashkenazic of musics, the Eastern European Jewish folk music known as klezmer… for three hours!  Oy vey!  Happily, it’s fun stuff to listen to and enjoy, so here without further ado you can listen to hour 1 of CFRO Co-Op Community Radio’s episode 265 of the weekly Accordion Noir radio program.  At its original online home, it logged some 6983 listens, and present and future generations will continue listening to it as digital audio courtesy of the Internet Archive.  Here’s its playlist:

Please, support Accordion Noir and Co-op Radio (without whom there wouldn’t be an Accordion Noir), by becoming a member. Go to http://www.AccordionNoir.org or http://www.CoopRadio.org and donate online. We really especially supporters who’ve become “sustaining” donors by arranging to donate a little bit every month. Those add up to a lot of support over the year. We love that most of all.

When you’re able to donate, please do add a comment that, “Accordion Noir sent me!” Then we know who loves squeezing.

Thanks much,

Bruce and Rowan
