Accordion Noir radio playlist 2024-03-13: 17th Anniversary of the Vancouver Squeezebox Circle

March 14, 2024

Something happened last night, and this week’s episode of our Accordion Noir broadcast failed to go out over the air in time to celebrate the occasion your host Bruce had planned for: the observance of the 17th anniversary (!?) of the first congregation of the Vancouver Squeezebox Circle, which has continued meeting up for the vast majority of the months since then. (Their next gathering date is scheduled for April 3rd, so our historical anniversary observance actually falls between their present-day meeting dates, so not all that much was actually missed. Put it in your calendar, you can find the details on their website!) If your Apple or Android (or plain old RSS) podcast subscriptions (strongly recommended!) haven’t alerted you to the episode’s availability yet, you can listen to it as digital audio courtesy of the Internet Archive. Here’s its playlist:

We post the shows hours after the broadcast, which happens an hour after the Vancouver Squeeze Box Circle meets now:

First Wednesday of the month, next one April 3rd, 7-9 pm.

    Meeting at the new location:

Long House Church, 2595 Franklin St. (at the corner of Penticton), East Vancouver. Lots of free parking!

But the fact tonight’s Accordion Noir didn’t broadcast on the Circle’s anniversary 😞 may not matter so much.

Because our Wednesday 10-11pm broadcast is on the day of the Circle now but after it’s over. Making it hard to advertise for it in a timely way.

Perhaps I should suggest people go to an upcoming week’s Circle and listen to the show afterwards on the way home?

    Episode goals

    ❤️‍🔥🪗 Bruce
