Accordion Noir radio playlist 2018-05-23: Patent Approval Day

Today was a big day on the accordion calendar (well, every day on that calendar is a great day to be alive, but that’s not what I’m talking about) — it’s the 189th anniversary of the day Cyrill Demian’s patent inventing the accordion was approved in Vienna, Austria!  (We’re not quite sure how we’re going to commemorate the instrument’s bicentennial eleven years from now, but you can be darned sure that it’s been on our radar for several years now.)  Bruce celebrated much as he does every week, airing a globe-trotting sampling of accordion musics from all corners of the map, from Colombia to Finland, Brazil to Bosnia… and a few tunes from Canada also, of course!  You can hear tonight’s episode by following this link, and for extra motivation, here’s a sneak preview in the form of the episode’s playlist:
