Accordion Noir radio playlist 2013-04-10: Back in the Springtime Again

From ten years ago, here’s episode 331 of CFRO Co-Op Community Radio’s weekly hour-long Accordion Noir program.  Like many recordings from that period, there is no apparent theme linking the various tunes appearing in the program other than the shared use of instruments in the squeezebox family of free-reed aerophones… making the show a veritable tasting menu of different accordionic styles and genres from different cultures in different parts of the world.  Truth be known, this underlying theme basically informs the majority of episodes we have aired, but it’s a good theme nonetheless, an essential restatement of our central thesis (that being: gee golly whiz, there sure are many ways for the accordion the be played in music, many of which I wasn’t expecting!)  If you missed it ten years ago — or caught it back in 2013 but would appreciate a refresher — you can enjoy listening to it as digital audio courtesy of the recently-beleaguered Internet Archive.  Here’s its playlist:
