It’s a heady time to be a supporter of accordion music or community radio in our corner of the world. Our parent radio station, CFRO Co-Op Community Radio, is undertaking its annual spring member drive to fundraise for its ongoing activities — we’d like to strongly encourage you to top up your financial support, if you haven’t already — and our neighbours on the Sunshine Coast are presenting the first installment of their new accordion festival this weekend! (see above) Neither of these events necessarily informed the programming of this week’s broadcast, which is our traditional mix of everything squeezy under the sun, but you know — it’s the context that sets the stage!
