Accordion Noir radio playlist 2012-02-08: Jules Verne’s birthday
Ten years ago, Bruce used the occasion of the anniversary of the 1828 birth of French science-fiction visionary Jules Verne (just one year older than the accordion itself!) as an excuse to program us an hour of bellows-powered squeezy steampunk whimsy. From this point onward it looks as though our recordkeeping fell into some catastrophic disarray — by which we mean that our radio station, bless their hearts, took over the hard work of podcasting our episodes for a period of years, but ultimately lost all of the playlist information and recordings. Eventually we girded our loins and took the burden back up, but our tradition here on this blog of sharing links to “here’s what we were airing ten years ago” are going to be awfully sparse for a while. (We may have some bonus materials to share with you in place however, so don’t despair.) In any case, you can enjoy listening to this episode as digital audio courtesy of the Internet Archive.
