Hello and welcome to this week’s episode of CFRO Co-Op Community Radio’s weekly hour-long Accordion Noir broadcast, sharing the greatest alt-squeezebox tunes in history from all over the world! Greetings to our contingent of new listeners from the Underground BBS Discord!  Our regular DJ Bruce (Bruce, do you have an underground club DJ name? Mine was Mix Master Mud!) had a few things on his mind this week — the changing of the month and turning of the season, certainly, as well as the ongoing ravages of the Covid-19 pandemic’s 4th wave (represented by Geoff Berner’s new filk) and … Bruce Springsteen. Well, why not? He also wanted to share a story with you about the Pixies song his co-host (me, Rowan) performed live on the air nearly 15 years ago, after learning that it’s been rattling around in the brain of one of his neighbours ever since, but didn’t quite manage to squeeze it in this week. (I bet that makes this aside a sneak preview for next week’s episode!)
