Accordion Noir radio playlist 2021-09-01: Bandcamp Friday Doesn’t Go On Vacation!

All of these sentiments are simultaneously true. You can listen to the music here.

Here we are again, friends — it’s a new month, and with it the first Friday of that month, and with it… well, you already know how we like to celebrate Bandcamp Friday over in these parts. Here’s a chance for us to share music with you available for sale to benefit inadequately gigging squeezebox stars during this interminable disruption to “normalcy”. This week’s playlist is again, a selection of great accordion music avaliable for sale on that site — and if you buy some of it this Friday, it’s just about the best deal going for composers and performers depending on revenues from online commerce to justify their ongoing involvement in the arts. Since the pandemic tightened up access to our parent radio station, all of our episodes have been pre-recorded, but this one a little bit more so than the rest of them — Accordion Noir’s host Bruce Triggs is taking a little time off at a getaway, but he looks forward to enjoying litsening to his own voice broadcasting Wednesday night from 10-11 pm at 100.5 fm. If your Apple or Android podcast subscriptions (strongly recommended!) haven’t alerted you to its availability yet, you can enjoy listening to it as digital audio courtesy of the Internet Archive. Here’s its playlist:

I love that ‘A is for accordion . . . anti-social music’ graphic. Slap that on a poster and t shirt and take my money!
