I’m far enough into listening to this week’s episode of CFRO Co-Op Community Radio’s weekly hour-long “Accordion Noir” radio program, a couple of songs in, that I’ve just heard host Bruce Triggs describe this installment of the program as “a varied show of random stuff”, a default suspicion I assume to be informing any given week’s program unless I can find a compelling argument to the contrary. Usually I have to dig a little deeper for explicit confirmation however! In brief, it’s our standard mix of different styles from different cultures in different parts of the world, all flattened down to their common element: excellent use of that free-reed aerophone we all ove so much.
