Accordion Noir radio playlist 2010-12-04: Rowan’s best of 2010
From ten mighty years ago, here’s episode 206 of CFRO Co-Op Radio 100.5 fm’s weekly hour-long Accordion Noir radio program. In our first few years, we would reserve December’s programming for a series of special “year-in-review” episodes, looking back at our favorite tunes we’d aired in the previous eleven months. That required poring over some 50+ hours of audio to skim the top 2% of tunes, but life was free and breezy and we had an abundance of free time at our disposal, so why not? A career and two children later, this practice (and the free time it required) is now but a hazy memory, but we can still look back and agree that it was the right choice to make under those circumstances! In any event, what we have here is an hour of co-host Rowan’s esoteric top music picks aired in the year 2010. At its original online home it tallied some 5984 listens, and accordion fans and scholars can continue enjoying listening to it courtesy of digital audio now hosted up at the Internet Archive. Here’s its playlist!
