A few days ago we aired our 14th-anniversary episode of our weekly all-squeezebox Accordion Noir radio program.  It stands to reason, then, that ten years ago we would have just shared out 4th-anniversary episode!  It was broadcast number 207 (somewhere along the lines in our first four years it looks like we dropped one show), and at its original online home it was enjoyed some 6177 times, despite being… very peculiar.

You see, in our early years, to stay true to our roots and remember where we came from, for our radio birthday we’d sneak into the radio station late at night and broadcast live during our original probationary time window, from 2-3 am.  Given the freedom such a time of day affords you, we would save up much of our wildest and woolliest recordings for this annual blowout — material that was too long, too loud, too profane, too challenging, or simply… too much! … to air during our regular prime time window.  Looking at its playlist, below, it looks like we let you off easy this time.  Supposing you weren’t up listening live at 2 am ten years ago, you can enjoy listening to this program today as a digital audio stream courtesy of the Internet Archive.
