Accordion Noir radio playlist 2020-09-16: Is it the Apocalypse Yet?

Addendum: Bruce put together all the videos we played on this episode (with commentary) for you to watch over here 📺 👀!

“I didn’t do a show on the fire and smoke, Didn’t we do that last year? Instead we’ve got a video special, with many audio-visual options.” We didn’t explicitly dip into the doom and gloom enveloping us — the miasma of social unrest as well as the choking clouds of forest fire smoke lovingly layered on top of the pandemic panic — but rather allowed the collective subconscious to express it, by taking programming suggestions from our extensive surveillance of the use of the word “accordion” on Twitter. In a sense, large portions of this episode were thus crowd-sourced, even if unintentionally on the part of the sources. (Hey, they wanted people to hear these songs — well, they got more than they asked for!) Anyhow, if you haven’t already been notified by your Apple or Android podcast subscription you can enjoy listening to it courtesy of the Internet Archive.

Here’s its playlist:
