Accordion Noir radio playlist 2020-03-11: Birth Day Records, Jerry Cans and Soundscape

March 12, 2020
AccNoir-2020-03-11

This week, Bruce celebrated his discovery of the hitherto unobserved cosmic conjunction of squeezebox anniversaries coming down to bear on the date of March 11th:

Given the opportunity to cover for the time slot of the Soundscape show that typically takes place the hour before ours, that yielded a generous two-hour time slot that gave him ample opportunity to explore the glorious four-headed beast of March 11th, in addition to an in-depth look at Nunavuts The Jerry Cans, performing in-town this Friday night! Many concerts are being cancelled due to Covid-19, but we recommend locals check this one out not only because they’re awesome, but because if you miss out, it will be quite a bit more difficult to swing by Nunavut to check them out playing to a home crowd! If you can’t make it out to live music in these uncertain times, Bruce would like to direct you to the #BuyTheMusicYouWashYourHandsTo campaign, so that the creative professionals of live entertainment don’t have their entire livelihood rudely yanked out from under them. But I digress. You can hear this week’s double episode, supposing your Apple or Android podcast notifications haven’t kicked in yet, over at the Internet Archive. Here’s its playlist:
