From ten years ago, here’s episode 167 of Accordion Noir radio, wherein it seems Bruce had been made privy to a secret stash of accordion-filled Western Swing music.  He took the opportunity to celebrate the birthday of accordion-slinging bandleader Pee-Wee King,  At its original online home, it achieved a total of some 13352 tracked listens, and we know this trend will only continue at its new online home over at the Internet Archive, where you can listen to it any time!  Here’s its playlist:

    Hi Rowan,

Let me know if this makes sense.

I’ve noticed a big rise in spam to my accordion.noir@gmail.com address.

Not sure if it’s my fault, but the email seems to be included in open text on recent reposts of shows on the Uprising site. When I searched for it, it seems like it’s added to the end of the playlists from 2009 to the recent ones from 2011.

I don’t know if that means I included it on the old site. If so, that was dumb.

If there’s a way to cut the email from reposts in future, that’d be cool. It looks like this at the end of posts:

    > And for the cover image? Rowan riding the Sky-Train! (If you’ve never been to Vancouver, we also have a “Sea-Bus.”) I think I used this image before, but it’s so nice. Memorializes Rowan’s beard before he shaved it for charity too. > > Bruce Triggs, Accordion Noir Radio > > accordion.noir@gmail.com > > http://www.AccordionNoir.org > http://www.AccordionUprising.org I may go back and edit that out of the posts that are up there now. Not like that will keep people from selling my email if they already have it, but can’t hurt to keep it from getting picked up in future.

    Thanks, Bruce
