Accordion Noir radio playlist 2009-11–06: Oktoberfest in November

In our initial years on the air, we proposed (but didn’t follow through on) a violent member drive radio campaign to help separate us from the general stink of champagne music once and for all, playing thrift shop polka records non-stop until radio station donors would call in to pledge to have the record pulled and destroyed — with different methods of destruction depending on the size of the donation. In time, however, we were able to come to peace with polka — and by episode 153 from ten years ago, we even devoted a belated Oktoberfest special to the subject!  At its original online home, this episode garnered some 8597 listens, and we’re sure that given enough Oktobers, it will someday again meet and surpass that total from its new home at the Internet Archive, where you can listen to it today!  Here’s its playlist:
