Accordion Noir radio playlist 2009-10-24: Libations for the Baritone Saxophone Nation

Ten years ago, we were very busy!  We had our festival, there was Hallowe’en, and as part of the Autumn Member Drive we had one of our “underdog instrument” specials, where we turned an episode (number 151?) over to another instrument that may not get the respect it deserves.  Just because it doesn’t have a weekly radio program dedicated to it doesn’t mean that it can’t at least feature for a single week!  This time around it was the baritone saxophone, as curated by the Creaking Planks’ resident low end Peg-Leg Right-eye Ryan, aka Cap’n Jack Spare-ribs.  The Planks were playing a gig down the street at the Rickshaw that night, and ducked out during intermission to present this episode before sneaking back for part II.  Multitasking!  At its original online host (also provided courtesy of that very same helpful saxophonist!) it logged some verified 8729 listens, and as usual we hope that moving it along to the Internet Archive, where you can listen to it today, will ensure that it meets and surpasses that total in the fullness of time.  Here’s its playlist:
