Accordion Noir radio playlist 2019-02-20: Alex Meixner part 2, Accordion Emoji & co.

February 21, 2019

A couple of weeks ago, we aired portions of an interview Bruce conducted with Polkameister Alex Meixner, the future face of a once-ubiquitous genre in transition. We had to keep you in suspense while we got a little Valentine’s Day programming out of the way, but you’ll all be glad to hear that we finished off the interview this week in last night’s episode of Accordion Noir radio!  Also this week, Bruce reported our submission to the Unicode Consortium as part of his campaign to get an accordion emoji (or, ideally, a suite of squeezebox emoji representing different physical shapes and international styles of free-reed aerophones).  All this and more!  You can of course hear it right now as digital audio courtesy of the Internet Archive.  Here’s its playlist!
