Accordion Tuners Take Command with Holiday Merchandise

December 20, 2018

I was just talking with Co-op Radio’s Shockwave Steve about the Accordion *tuner* micro-marketed merch.

(The Shockwave show’s Xmas episode was last night – six hours of Christmas Metal, rebroadcast on multiple stations worldwide. His most popular show of the year.)

My favorite holiday tradition – the temptation to get my accordion-tech friend’s all this fabulous gear.

Accordion Tuner Superwoman

I wish there had been a real marketing meeting where these Accordion *Tuner* shirts were approved.

Accordion Tuner Badass

Someone has taken command of this niche.

Accordion Tuner Ninja

I’m sure there’s less than two dozen pro accordion tuners on the continent. But they got their team on it.

The algorithm shows through. Capitalism is literally out of control, and doesn’t have a proof-reader.

But it’s still there to take your money.

(These Accordion-Forces ones are kinda cool.)

Team Accordion Tuner, we’ve got your back.

(Feeling conflicted because I’ve probably helped sell a very small number of these shirts. I should demand a commission from Team Accordion Tuner.)

How many accordion tuners are there in North America really? We just sent a seasonal thank you note to about 30 internationally (for their critical role in keeping the instruments alive for gosh sake!) But I’m just making up numbers. Not enough, that’s for sure.

Vancouver lost it’s last full-time accordion tech more than a decade ago. Nobody’s replaces Renzo. Who can afford to run an accordion shop in the most expensive real estate market in North America? No one, yet, but we hold out hope.

“(Hey all, click http://www.AccordionRevolution.com to hear about pre-sales of my book, due Spring 2019!)”

As long as you keep the site automatically configured to nag everyone who visits, I think you can do away with the personal reminders 8)

good point. fixed. (That’s what I get for cutting and pasting from my “I’m ever so clever I should put that on the blog” email.)
