Last night was a special episode of Accordion Noir, as we had all five members of Seattle’s The Debaucherantes, a rebel klezmer crew, set up in the radio station studio for a fun little session in promotion of their PNW tour, notably their performance (see above) at Caravan’s “KlezmerFest” this Saturday night, August 11th, along with Montreal’s Oktopus.  (Save five bucks and buy tickets online today!)

But friends in Victoria, Chemainus, Nelson, Spokane, Chelan, Boise, Olympia and Port Townsend, sit up and pay attention, because (see below) they are also paying your towns visits over the next week — and after spending an hour with them in the studio I can report that you’d really be missing out if you passed them by, as they’re quite a lot of fun. Gazing into my crystal ball, I can definitely see them on the bucket list for the 2019 Accordion Noir Festival… but first we have to get through this year’s!

But don’t let me sell you on them unheard — go, get an earful of last night’s hour of live audio (well, plus one Oktopus track)! Here are the songs they played:

auntes

the Debaucherantes – Accordion Noir Theme (after Andy Fielding)
the Debaucherantes – Bei Mir Bistu Shein
Oktopus – Freylekh
the Debaucherantes – Nifty’s Freylakh
the Debaucherantes – Ot Azoy
the Debaucherantes – The Girl With The Crooked Smile
the Debaucherantes – Yi’hyu L’Ratzon

Thanks for reading us here (and hopefully listening to us, there), but if you find you want more, you can always keep up with us on Twitter (@AccordionNoir and @AccordionBruce), Instagram (@AccordionNoirFest), and Facebook at Accordion Noir fansthe Accordion Noir Festival, and the Vancouver Squeezebox Circle. Cheers & squeeze on!
