Accordion Noir radio playlist 2008-02-29: Festival du Bois
From way back in February of 2008, here’s Accordion Noir radio episode number 66, in which we shine our (bellows-pleated) spotlight on Maillardville’s Festival du Bois, a little taste out west of Québécois culture. Over the past ten years, the festival’s date has migrated bit by bit — digging this archival recording up won’t usefully promote this year’s Fest du Bois, which is taking place a month later! — but it all serves the general purpose of whetting the appetite for regional squeezebox styles performed live.
