Accordion Noir Radio playlist 2017-06-14: Accordion Noir stage preview for Car-Free Main Street!

June 16, 2017

Greetings folks! To keep things timely, we’re lightly leapfrogging over last week’s broadcast in favour of prioritizing this week’s. I know, it sounds contradictory, but hear me out: this week’s episode of Accordion Noir Radio is a preview of performers you can catch live at our *FREE* (by donation) Accordion Noir stage at this year’s Car-Free Main Street festival Sunday, June 18, running at 21st and Main from noon to 7 pm. (If we aired last week’s episode now and this week’s episode next week, it would no longer serve as a preview, you see.) There are also some filler acts on the playlist (perhaps the only time Hamster Theatre will ever be described as “filler”) who you won’t be seeing on Sunday, but by listening to this week’s broadcast you can get a good feel for participating acts Katheryn Petersen, Ana Bon-Bon, the Creaking Planks, Barbara Adler, Robyn Carrigan and Geoff Berner! (For Der Royshiker Krokves and the Squeezebox Circle Orchestra, you’re just going to have to use your imagination.) And how would one listen to that broadcast you inquire? So glad you asked! You can enjoy the episode as a digital audio stream or you can take advantage of our preferred delivery mechanism, MP3 download from the Internet Archive.  Now here’s the full playlist so you better know who and what to expect squeezing their heart out on the streets this Sunday afternoon!
