unnamed-2In the year 2017 noise bands and “drone” music practitioners are promulgating throughout the soundscape, but ten years ago back in 2007 it was a more niche concern — but regardless, never having met an obscure niche we weren’t intrigued by, Accordion Noir Radio episode number 27 was dedicated to an oldschool originator of the drone, experimental composer Pauline Oliveros, who died last November, on the occasion of her birthday.  Despite the inaccessibility of the subject, it proved to be as popular as our average episode, racking up some 3359 listens from hardcore noise-heads (and actual robots) at its original online host… you can find it into perpetuity over at the Internet Archive.  Now to enhance the stark, minimalist soundscape — here’s a minimal playlist to help describe the uncharted sonic territory!
