Accordion Noir radio playlist 2007-05-04: with the Creaking Planks!

Now back in sync with ten years ago as measured by month, here is the fabulous Accordion Noir Radio episode number 23 — our first broadcast at our then-“new” time slot, no longer in the middle of the night!  To celebrate, co-host Rowan packed along his “jug band of the damned”, an early incarnation of the Creaking Planks, to act as live guests.  They’d been waiting for quite a while to have a chance to boost the show (and spread their fame!) without having to all be literally nocturnal creatures flitting through darkened skies (that time of day is for staggering back FROM gigs after the bar cashes out, not heading out TO gigs), and finally their opportunity arrived.  At its original online home it was enjoyed some 3106 times … mysteriously, the presence of live guests seems to have throttled the transfers by some three quarters, but we are assured that everyone who did listen to it enjoyed it immensely, so who knows just what was actually going on there?  In any case, you can also enjoy the sounds of an old band in its infancy courtesy of new file hosting over at the Internet Archive.  Enjoy!
