(Or, as Bruce called it, “Another Wednesday In April”.) Here we are again — another week, another episode of Accordion Noir Radio. We’ve just been crunching some numbers and as our 10th anniversary of first hitting the air is approaching, so is our 500th weekly episode! Needless to say, we’ve begun scheming for an appropriate way to celebrate these occasions.

Last night’s show was not one of those particular celebrations — instead, we were saying huzzah to the back catalogue of longstanding folk record label Arhoolie Records, home to many “niche” genres including a great deal of zydeco and Tejano music.
