(Last week’s show with Steve was good too, but this one is a winner.)

Poster for Steve Normandine's Paris, Chansons de la belle epoque show. Nice one.

Playlist (does not include all the banter about jazz history, Charlie Parker’s other accordionist, and being famous enough to rent out your accordion by the minute to buy beer.  That was a fun show, Thanks Steve Normandin from Montréal!  Can’t wait to see you again at the Accordion Noir Festival in the fall.

That playlist thang, laid out like so:

* Band – Song – Album – Where they’re from (if we know) – contact info to go buy all their awesome records and hire them to play the wedding you’ve decided to plan just to have an excuse to hire the band.

* Eläkeläiset – Peljätty Humppa (Carl Douglas’s Kung-Fu Fighting) – Werbung, Baby! (1999) – Finland –

* Kal – Play It Again – Romology (2013) – (I don’t know enough about this band)

* Yoddler Broute – Steve Normandin (Live at Co-op Radio on Accordion Noir)

* Flambée Montalbanaise – Steve Normandin (Live at Co-op Radio on Accordion Noir)

* Gus Viseur – Swing 39 – Accordeon 1913-1941 (Disc 2) (1941) – France –

* Gérard Lajoie – Money Musk – 25 Folklores Québécois (1956) – Québec, Canada – (Rent this guy a beer so he can buy an accordion.)

* Samba Jaqueline – Steve Normandin (Live at Co-op Radio on Accordion Noir)

* Amede Ardoin & Dennis McGhee – Sunset (Sunset) – Cajun – Rare & Authentic: 1929 – 1934 (this track 1934)

* Gordon Fleming – Strike Up The Band – According To Gordie (1953) – Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada –

* Rue d’la Gouaille – Pupazzi de Pacotille – Fête Foraine (2935) – Nantes, Bretagne (Brittany),  France   –

* Chinese Waltz – Steve Normandin (Live at Co-op Radio on Accordion Noir) – “The Oriental Riff” on Wikipedia.

    Oh Rowan, that’s what co-hosts are for. If we were on the radio you would have corrected me and I could apologize right away.
